| The skeleton does not exist as a solid form, it exists as a plan. Cells are constantly sloughed off the body and replaced. Someone once told me that eighty percent of all household dust is composed of dead skin cells. The body is constantly dying, cannibalizing its own dead flesh and rebuilding itself. What is the location of the body? It is a diagram among entropically disintegrating diagrams, a non-place, a non-site. "Nowhere better than this place, Nowhere better than this place," read two side by side paper stacks. They are constantly disintegrating as people are encouraged to peel off a leaf and roll it up. They are constantly being rebuilt as the invisible mechanisms of the museum replenish them. There is nowhere better than this non-place. |
