Havurah BET Home Page

Havruah Bet is an informal group of Jews in Brooklyn, NY, affiliated with the Jewish Renewal movement, which meets to observe the Sabbath and other Jewish occasions.  We rotate leadership and encourage experimentation to enhance the liturgy, so each of our services is unique.  We generally meet on Saturday morning each month and, usually, one other time during the month, as reflected in the schedule below.  We meet in the homes of members, generally in an area stretching from Park Slope to Midwood.

We are call Havurah BET .
BET is the second letter in the Hebrew alphabet but was the first letter of creation (B'reishit)
BET is also an acronym for "Brooklyn Experimental Tefillah." Tefillah is the Hebrew word for prayer, so this represents our purpose.
