EDITORIAL
POETS on the line reflects the tastes of its editors. It is an attempt to publish those poems we consider unique in their individuality which pay no allegiance to schools or current fads in contemporary poetry. Too often anthologies feel like they've evolved from an esoteric process that results in definitive collections. Exclusion often defines them, not the poets included. Instead, POETS on the line takes advantage of the incredible immediacy of the net, to produce a living body of literature that grows before you as new work is added. The spirit of improvisation, not tradition, is what unifies this anthology and springs it to life.
