so nik came up to hudson late in the summer of 99' for the opening of speer's show. of all the diversions offered, nik knew that he must see the katterskill falls, the most sacred site in american art. i bought a map and drew out the route for him, and he did get to see the falls in his lifetime.
he did the right thing and mailed me the map after he returned to nyc.
