RGS, and its less powerful predecessors, DRW and DRWJ, are real time sonogram paint programs: you simply draw on the screen and as you draw, the sonogram's sound is synthesized and played in a loop. You can analyze audio into its corresponding sonogram and also turn the sonogram into MIDI to be able to play a microtonally tuned synthesizer. |
