Fat
Bat

Being free to sell art since
winning my fight with
the IRS, I arranged for a presentation of the
Fat Bat
to Hank Aaron at Dodger Stadium. Then I proposed that Hank
co-sign an edition of
715 Fat
Bats with me, the number of homers he hit to break Babe Ruth's home run
record. I argued that if Marcel Duchamp had co-signed an over-sized bat
with the Babe, Norman Brokaw and all the other agents at the William
Morris Agency couldn't afford one today. Brokaw told me I was competing
with Magnavox. I needed a million dollars, good faith
money. I wonder how much Duchamp invested in
Brancusi.
